I am a freelance technology writer and consultant and also a vice-chair of nima (mainly looking after nima's communications). I have has worked in the construction sector since 1987, and spent a decade with a Software-as-a-Service construction collaboration business (writing a book about the technologies along the way) before leaving in 2009 to resume freelance working. I attended some UK BIM Alliance events soon after it was established, became chair of its technology group in 2019 and, following its name change, I was appointed a nima vice-chair in July 2023.
